The Conley Family

The Conleys

Unlike the other seven branches of my family tree, I had never been able to trace my maternal father's family back beyond my great, great, great grandfather.

I discovered James Conley a few years previously, along with his wife, Sarah, and had learned from his gravestone that he was involved in the Civil War.

The Conley Tree: 1st Generation

James Conley and Sarah Williams

This tree shows my great, great, great grandfather, James and his wife Sarah Williams, and their family.

They had 15 children, 11 of whom survived past childhood. There were 3 boys and 8 girls: and two of the boys and their father were in the Civil War.

The Conley Tree: 2nd Generation

George Washington Conley and Nannie Keibler

The second generation is George Washington Conley, my great, great grandfather, his wife, Nannie Keibler, and their three children.

The Conley Tree: 3rd Generation

Harry George Conley and Ella Alvira Kinch

The third generation is Harry George Conley, my great grandfather, his wife, Ella Alvira Kinch, and their family, including my grandfather, George and his three sisters.
